QUESTION: How many eggs does a Queen lay in a day?

There are several factors that control how many eggs a Queen will lay.

The Queen will not lay more eggs than the number of workers in the hive can take care of. The workers must cool the eggs in the summer and warm them in the winter. And the workers must feed the larvae that emerge from the eggs.

A Queen can lay about 1000 to 6000 eggs in a day, but she will stop if the conditions are not right.
